Amber Kreiger, L.Ac. was not always the health conscience individual she is today. Health, wellness and Traditional Chinese Medicine didn't appear on her radar until she ran into her own health struggles in her mid-twenties. After going the western medical route without any explanations or help, she turned to complementary medical approaches to turn her life around. Acupuncture and nutritional counseling not only restored her health but unclouded and opened her mind. She wanted to help others who struggled without relief. She wanted to learn more about the therapies that helped her so much.
Amber enrolled in a distance learning certification program offered by the Natural Healing Institute of Naturopathy in Encinitas, CA. She earned a certification as Holistic Health Practitioner, and certifications in Clinical Nutrition and Clinical Herbology. Amber wanted to acquire more knowledge. She decided to attend the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL to learn Traditional Chinese Medicine. It was a rigorous four-year graduate program with a heavy focus on acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. She received a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2008.
Amber is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and has been designated a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.). She has been practicing in Bellingham since May 2009. She is a provider for many health insurance plans. Amber successfully treats a variety of health issues. Amber’s treatment motto is: Traditional Method, Contemporary Approach. Her technique is gentle and effective. Your comfort is her priority.
When Amber is not “nerding-out” reading books, she can be found lounging or hiking with her dogs. She is an at home yoga enthusiast, sometimes snowboarder; who enjoys taking nature photos and is always on the lookout for a good laugh.
